Like me, you also might have thought you’d be a part of the Medium Partner Program, and money would be flowing in, life would be easy, you would be consistent with the content, and there will be no looking back!! Isn’t this crossed your mind for once? Surely it would have.
But, unfortunately, I have to break the bad news to you.
There is no such thing as easy money, and also, you can not be a part of the Medium Partner Program right after crossing the mark of 100 followers unless you belong to the below-mentioned countries.

My fellow Indians and residents of countries who can not be a part of the Medium Partner Program at the moment should focus on —
- Building content library
- Refining the writing skills
- Creating the readership
Because the day Medium will introduce Partner Program in your country and you become a part of it, you’ll reap the most benefits. You will have the content, skills, and readers, which will result in better earnings.
So, look through the other side of the story and be consistent with your writing on Medium.
Direct your focus to having readers and not just the followers. In the long run, readers are what you need the most.
One hundred consistent readers will pay off more than just 1000 casual followers.
Consistent writing will refine your skills and build your portfolio and readership. So, raise your bar and move ahead of the obsession of gaining a hundred followers.
Build the empire of genuine readers, engaging followers, and valuable content. Play for the long run and you’ll eventually be a part of Medium Partner Program.
